Raised nature loving, I joined BirdLife Austria as a child and founded Club 300 Austria when I was 14. Today, I am a passionate ornithologist and wildlife photographer.
Photos and articles have been published in several magazines (Birding World, Birdwatch, Dutch Birding, Limicola, Alula …); books, newspapers, information leaflets and exhibitions. Since 2011 I’m shooting for Photoshot/London.

In 2012, I finished my degree in biodiversity and ecology at the Karl-Franzens University of Graz and started to study biodiversity management at the University of Vienna.
Besides birdwatching as a pastime, my ornithologic focus is on various censuses, migration counts and projects in Austria and abroad, the Austrian Avifaunistic Commission (since 2006) and bird ringing, currently at the station Hartberger Gmoos.

Additionally, I play in the Ultimate Frisbee Team Catchup Graz and was a member of the Austrian National Team at the European Championships 2008 in Le Pouliguen/France, the U23 World Championships 2010 in Florence/Italy and the European Championships 2011 in Maribor/Slovenia.

The best way to broaden my (ornithological) horizon is to travel the world. To date I have visited around 50 countries.

As my family owns one of the oldest printeries in Graz/Austria, Druckerei Khil, my interest for graphic design and layout was aroused and nurtured.

In 2008 I founded a small company with my colleague – and former gym teacher – Andy Barth: fly in danger.
